Qwikmix™ Wall Putty is a white cement based putty, ideal for use on concrete/mortar, internal/external walls and Ceilings. It fills the fine pores of mortar/concrete walls and ceilings and provides a white, smooth and dry surface essential for painting. It gives excellent adhesive strength, durability and enhances the life of paints.

2. Mixing Method

  • Take water in bucket and gradually add Qwikmix™ Wall Putty in it.
  • Mix the product with water in the ratio of approximately 1:3.
  • Mixing can be done manually or by stirrer.
  • Mixing to be done till homogenous lump -free paste is obtained.
  • After mixing leave the paste for 5-10 minutes for polymeric dispersion before application.
  • The paste should be kept away from direct sunlight, heat and used within 120 minutes of preparation (after mixing with water).
  • Re -mix the paste again before application.

3. Shelf Life

  • Qwikmix™ Wall Putty can be safely stored up to 6 months.
  • Keep in a dry place above the ground level and well covered.

4. Preparation of the surface

  • Surface should be clean and free from dust, oil, grease, curing agent, paints, which may affect the adhesion.
  • Remove all the loosely adhered material from the wall surface with the help of emery stone or wire brush and clean water.
  • Properly cure the dry surface with the sufficient quantity of clean water before application of putty.

5. Application of Qwikmix™ Wall Putty

  • Apply the first coat of Qwikmix™ Wall Putty on already moistened wall surface from bottom to upward direction with the help of putty trowel.
  • Allow the first coat of putty to dry for atleast for 3 hours before application of second coat of putty. Apply the second coat of putty from bottom to upward direction.
  • Allow the second coat to dry completely for 12 hours. The total thickness of coat should not exceed more than 2 mm.
  • Rub the surface very gently with very fine emery paper before application of paint.

6. Useful Tips

  • Qwikmix™ Wall Putty should be stored in a dry place. Keep out of reach of the children. Avoid inhalation of dust.
  • In case of contact with eyes, rinse eyes with plenty of water and consult a doctor immediately.
